What is BIM?
Building Information Modeling, BIM, is a software that standardize the creation and management of any construction project, delimiting all the elements that are incorporated in the design of the building that is constructed.
Although this software has already been in the market for several years, it is up to now that it is becoming relevant given its usefulness in complying with European regulations.
Since 2016, in the United Kingdom for example, the use of BIM for public constructions * is mandatory, but it is very likely that it will be extended to other countries having the same mandatory character. The advantages offered to a public administration with BIM, goes from money saving in the design process, to legal delimitation of responsibilities within the construction itself.
Given also the requirements of the thermal prescriptions that today are mandatory to comply with, the thermal break bridge is indispensable in windows, therefore Technoform Bautec, leader in thermal break of polyamide 6.6 with 25% fiber glass, has taken the task to start raising awareness among his customers about the importance of BIM, since its use in cases where it is mandatory, have to also consider energy saving issues where windows play a very important role.
Thanks to this effort of Technoform Bautec, many of its customers have datasheets within the BIM virtual library that allows them to be present at the moment of the design of any construction, providing not only the benefits of having a preview of the design of the system itself, but also the information regarding its thermal performance.
This way Technoform Bautec is not only a reliable supplier of quality products, but it is also an important partner to grow within your market.
